AHAA Board Member:  Maria Lopez-Knowles



Entravision’s Chief Marketing Officer, Maria Lopez-Knowles, is an accomplished industry leader, having received an AdColor Innovator Award for her groundbreaking multicultural segmentation work with U.S. born Latinos.

Prior to Entravision, Maria served at Pulpo Media as Chief Marketing Officer, and prior to that as President of GlobalHue Latino, in New York City. Previous to her tenure at GlobalHue, Lopez-Knowles founded and led MRM Worldwide’s (McCann Worldgroup) practice targeting the über-acculturated Hispanic both online and above-the-line, with a keen focus on brand influencers.

Her extensive career has spanned thirty years in general and multicultural marketing (B2C and B2B). She has worked on accounts such as Microsoft, Visa, HR Block, Verizon, MasterCard, Subway, General Electric, Diageo, and Avery Dennison (Office Products). From acquisition, to loyalty and advocacy, Maria understands what brands are looking for when it comes to the consumer journey, and what consumers are looking for in a brand relationship. She has deep expertise in digital planning, direct marketing, and above-the-line advertising, and is passionate about integrated communications.


She holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Mass Communications (with a specialty in Film & Television).  She wrote her graduate thesis on Marketing to Hispanics in 1985, and is bilingual and bicultural.
