Job Title: Account Executive – New Business Development
Department: National Accounts
Reports To: Vice-President, National Accounts
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary The Account Executive – New Business Development uses business expertise and market knowledge to identify, cultivate and assist in closing new business for the National Accounts sales department. There is an emphasis on growth in the Hispanic business segment. A strategic and highly professional approach to sales and new business development is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Meets or exceeds assigned quota for new business activity
- Creates and executes strategic development plans for each prospect on “project accounts” list
- Daily field activity with prospective accounts, whether by appointment or cold calls
- Develops and completes general sales presentations
- Identifies and qualifies potential new business opportunities; adds them to “project accounts” list
- Assists in the creation of collateral materials
- Manages potential customer opportunities to ensure new business revenue goal can be met
- Prioritizes activities and manages time effectively
- Complies with credit policy, expense procedures, pricing, and contract management per company guidelines
- Attends all departmental meetings
- Provides report of prospecting activity

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, with four to five years of industry experience; or five to ten years of related industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Track record of sales success targeting large and/or national accounts preferred
Prior Media Sales and/or Marketing experience strongly preferred
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Bi Lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software including Microsoft Office Suite and Excel

As this is an outside sales position, outside weather conditions will apply.
This is a base plus bonus position. Base salary 45k-50k.
