Director of Communications Ė International Studies and Programs/Communications and Brand Strategy
Michigan State University is seeking an experienced director of communications to join the Office of International Studies and Programs (ISP) and Communications and Brand Strategy (CABS) - the universityís central marketing and media communications unit - as a joint appointment. The position is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated communications program to advance MSUís reputation as a leader in global engagement and connectivity.
Specifically, the director of communications is responsible for integrated communications that grow external funding support for MSUís expanded global reach; enhance MSUís opportunities for global engagement and partnership; overseeing development and implementation of communication strategy for university-wide and cross-college international initiatives led by ISP, including the Global Center for Food Systems Innovation and the MasterCard Foundation Scholars program. As a member of ISPís leadership team and a member of the universityís central communications office, the director provides consultation across ISP and to other units of the university on messaging strategy regarding MSUís global positioning, ensuring alignment with the universityís vision, mission, and strategic objectives, as well as with the universityís brand platform.
