24th Semi Annual Conference
April 16-18, 2008 - San Antonio, TX

It's been said that definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. With so many things shifting and converging in the Hispanic market, AHAA would be remiss to not take a good hard look at what we need to differently so that our industry gets the results it deserves. It's time to hit CONTROL/ALT/DELETE and REBOOT FOR THE FUTURE!

Let's take CONTROL, examine ALT ways and methodologies to get the job done, DELETE those things that are holding us back. Because let's face it, if we are content to live the status quo we have to live the rules set by someone else. No way! Let's REBOOT and set the rules so the FUTURE can indeed be OURS.

WINNING AT THE SHELF
WINNING AT THE SHELF  Hispanic purchasing power is projected to increase 9 % each year and will be at least $1.2 trillion by 2010. To win at the shelf, it is vital for the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry to understand what is driving growth in this consumer segment – not an easy task when considering the complexity of the Hispanic population in terms of acculturation, language preference, and attitudes. Based on survey and purchasing data collected by IRI on Hispanic consumers, this presentation will help marketers and retailers discover the shopping patterns and preferences of a multifaceted segment that is growing six times faster than the general population.  The session will tackle critical questions including how acculturation impacts shopping and purchasing behaviors, what the top influencers of Hispanic purchasing behavior are, and which retail channels Hispanics prefer to shop in.
